Re: Help getting married in 4 months...
As an adult, weight has been always something I have had to watch..maintaining a low fat diet used to work just perfectly. When I hit 30..low fat didnt cut it anymore, even with working out. This past chrsitmas I stepped on the scale and had gained some weight..I started dieting again more than ever but juts wasnt seeing the results ive wanted..then I started this low carb thing and I am very thin again. Im back to the wieght I was when I met my fiance..so I am extremely happy. I mostly cut out breads and pasta..I try to eat low fat./ low carb foods..lots of water. I just keep losing weight. I do work atleast three times a week..sometimes 6 days a week if its possible ( but thats rare) I eat alot of tuna. chicken, egg ehites, fish. It has most definately worked for me!!! Good luck to you..let us know how you make out. Everyone is different and everyone will lose weight differently!

Re: Help getting married in 4 months...
Stop the trim spa and drop the carbs from your diet. You have to be radical the first two weeks and then gradually add in whole wheat, rye and pumpernickel breads, whole wheat pasta, that kind of thing. Stick with lean meats and low fat cheeses. Low fat cheese is one of the few things that doesn't increase the carbs to lose the fat. Drink at least 60 ounces of water a day.
Good Luck! You can do it!

Re: Help getting married in 4 months...
and mine is 121 days from today! I just got weighed in this morning and PUT ON 2 pounds.. .
So....100 days from today we will be getting our fittings. How do we want to look in our dresses....We want to look primo, right! So, we have to do the work now, every day. My problem is that I'm having trouble sticking to the program every day. I just really don't want to be depressed when I try the dress on
so...c'mon, scare me, somebody into achieving my goal!!!!!

Re: Help getting married in 4 months...
If you're working out, you may be gaining muscle. I have lost the equivalant to 25lbs. in two months and drppoed two dress sizes. Here's how... I work out 5 days a week 45-60 minutes of cardio and 45-60 minutes of weight training You could do your 1/2 hour at Curves, but I would run on a treadmill for 45 minutes every day. I am also on the Zone Diet (www.zonegourmet.com) That has helped tremendously. I pretty much eat something every two to three hours and my carbs and sugars are extremely limited. Be careful on the Trim Spa.

Hey Blissbride,
You've done a terrific job! Good for you
I've been doing weights a couple of times a week, and the last two weeks walking outside for 3 miles about three times a week. Judging from your results, I think I just have to get inot a higher gear to find results!
How did you remain motivated?

Re: Help getting married in 4 months...
have you started the pill recently? it puts weight on sad, but true also, I highly recommend a personal trainer, they will help w/your diet and switch things up so everything is worked, very worth the money

Re: Help getting married in 4 months...
Thank you for the accolades. I think there are a few things that keep me motivated... 1- The thought of my FH face when I walk down the aisle. 2- My trainer. 3- Constant support and encouragement from friends and family. Lastly, I don't want to be one of those women you see on the Trim Spa commercials that look great now, but their wedding photos are horrifying.

Re: Help getting married in 4 months...
blissbride,
Your last post really motivated me! I did a 3 mile walk Friday, one hour of weights and 1/2 hour of cardio Saturday and Sunday both, and another 3 mile walk this morning! I'm feeling better every day. I'm also getting my diet down too.
I agree that seeing my fiance at the end of the aisle is a great motivator as is his involvement working out with me. He is always encouraging me. So I want to look and feel really really good for me and for us(kinda' soapy?).
