Christina Amador responded to me. I'm going to pursue that. I'm no sure about Sabrina Gilbert again. She hasn't followed up with me from last night to confirm our contract - not even to get paid for the makeup and hair trial she did.

You have a very good point. Although I firmly believe that things will work out - my confidence is once again waning. I'm following up with all the other vendors in this thread to see if anyone else is available.

My best friend used Christina for her wedding last year and she was really sweet and AMAZING! I am prob going to use her for mine.

I think it is very unprofessional to book another gig after you had already booked with her. I would be extremely wary about using her for the day of. This is added stress you do not need at this point. If you are still looking for hair and makeup, I recommend Jillian Kristine for hair and Jacqueline Nicole Cosmetics for makeup. Jackie is amazing and such a sweetheart!

So sorry that you're going through this! FSIL had something similar happen days before her wedding. She was booked with someone and they called and cancelled - no money back from her deposit, nothing! Even worse- they cancelled via text!

We looked around online and found Kelly from Glam Me Up who was booked for her afternoon but was willing to come in the morning since her wedding was earlier. She was amazing! I've used her a bunch of times since then and I'm using her for my own wedding as well. I definitely recommend looking into her! She'll help you out in any way if she can! I liked Jackie too but she doesn't travel outside of LI. I will reach out to her to see. I called the other makeup and hair artists to get availability. It's rough because most of them are busy and I'm low on time and money to get additional trials. Sabrina has followed up with me. I'm not too impressed because she missed the email I sent previously but then again I guess this means she does follow up. I'm just tired of the miscommunications and I may have some resentment that she set me down this path. I think I'm going to call her tomorrow to review a new contract and talk. I wanted to go with another hair and makeup person I got from this site who I spoke with but I didn't hear from her yet after the message I left this afternoon. It is a busy weekend so we will see.

that is so unprofessional. i used two amazing ladies daleesa weary for hair and maureen walsh for makeup. both wonderful women and wonderful at what they do. let me know if you need their info.
