Help! How do I find 'Couture' wedding dress online?
So Mom and I went wedding dress shopping yesterday and my head is spinning! I found several options I really liked and am trying to figure out what to do, as one is $1000 more expensive than the other. Since the bridal salons won`t allow photos to be taken, I am trying to find a picture of one of the dresses I loved online to compare it to the other one (which I was able to find). It was a 'Couture' dress...I am pretty sure that is the designer. When I looked online, there were more than one option for 'Couture,' but the one that seemed most likely was 'Daymor Couture.' However, the Daymor Couture website only had a scant few photos up, and they mostly seemed like regular formal gowns, or mother-of-the-bride gowns, rather than wedding gowns. I am desperate to find a picture of this dress online! Unfortunately, I don`t have a style # other than a 4-letter code which was on the tag...more than likely, the dress shop`s own code rather than the designer`s style #. Does anyone have any suggestions??? Thanks in advance!!

Are you sure the desginer had Couture in the name? Or was that just the 'style'? I think couture often refers more to the designer - high end fashion. In any case, I recommend theknot.com too you can search by designer as well as style.

That`s the problem...I don`t really know. It could have been the style...but I didn`t see a designer named anywhere. I did try looking it up on TheKnot.com and while they have quite an extensive array, I didn`t even see anything similar... :-(

Help! How do I find 'Couture' wedding dress online?
I just bought a 'couture dress' but couture means (like some one else said) a high end style. Usually couture dress is a designer's top of the line style's not usually the name of the manufacturer. The dress I bought was made by a Australian designer and she did not have any pictures of her dresses on the web. The store I bought the dress from would not tell me the mfg until I put down my depostit (which I hear is against the law and I told them that but still they would not tell me.) I guess I got lucky and fell in love with the dress and bought it. Once I found out the mfg I emailed them and they sent me pictures!

I bet that's the case here too. Do you think it's worth asking the shop to tell me the name of the designer? I have a feeling they won't tell me...are they allowed to do that?

Couture, for the most part means it is being made to order...why wouldnt the shop give you the name of the designer, of course they will, why wouldnt they? They should have told you to bgin with. If they cant tell you, by no means by from those people. That is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard.Get all you info upfront

'Couture' wedding dress - guess what
So I called the shop and guess what? They told me the NAME of the designer WAS Couture. I asked, 'that`s not just the style?' and the woman said no, it was the 'Couture Bridal Collection.' Go figure! But I still can`t find it. I can find Gordon Couture and Daymor Couture...not neither has the dress I saw. :-( This is getting frustrating!

If you don't mind me asking, what shop are you working with? I am wondering if it is the same as mine. I will search around and see if I come up with anything.

Does the shop have a website...maybe the dress is on it? Ask the shop to give you the mfg's phone number or website. If they gave you the name, why can't they give you more. Keep me informed b/c it feels like you are missing a piece of info.

'Couture' wedding dress - guess what
I don't mind, but I am guessing it's not the same shop since I live in Virginia and that's where the shop is. :-) At any rate it's called Lady Hamilton.

'Couture' wedding dress - guess what
If you search by designer on theknot.com, there is a designer called 'Couture Bridal Collection.' However, they only have a picture of one dress, and I`m not sure if that`s what you`re looking for. Also, Lady Hamilton isn`t one of the authorized dealers in Virginia, so, it`s probably not the dress. There is a number listed to contact Couture Bridal Collection directly 212-354-5402 . Hope that helped.Welcome New Vendors
