Not sure if this was mentioned... but Captain Bills in Bay Shore puts on a great wedding. I think a friday or sunday or even a sat day would be in your price range.....

Good luck with the search

I'm not sure that I replied the right way so just in case I'm replying again.

1st thanks for everyone for the replies, I happy 2 b here.

The date we have in mind is Nov. 24, which is the day after thanksgiving or that weekend. We are pretty flexible with the dates right now, I just know that I would like to get married in the Fall 2007.

We are going to have anywhere from 150 guest and up.

Some of the places my family have used are Fox Hollow, Crest Hollow, Jericho Terrace, Oheka, Huntington Townhouse, Woodbury Country Club,Brentwood Country Club, Tribeca Rooftop, Royalton and Roslyn Claremont hotel, etc.

I have been looking and we are not to keen on mansions. Funny enough I had my heart set on Jericho Terrace until my cousin got married there this past July...LOL

We visited the Metropolitan over the weekend and it was cool, just have to see what mom says.(LOL). I'm going 2 look at the North Ritz, the pics look breathtaking on the website, as well the Venetian, and Bridgeview.....
Thanks everyone who has already taken the time to answer my cry of HELP

you should also call these halls and make sure they have that date available, it can help narrow down your search by A LOT

Definitely check out North Ritz Club. We paid within your price range for a Saturday afternoon wedding in July. So I figure that a Friday night wedding in November has to be about the same.

I don't know what their rates start at but definitely check out Majestic Gardens- we got married there and absolutely loved it!!! Good luck finding something.

Congrats and welcome to the boards. As someone else mentioned on here, I would call the halls to make sure they still have your date available before you start going to look at all of them.

As for recommending reception halls, I am going to say Jericho Terrace but I am biased b/c that is where my wedding is going to be.

I also like Flowerfields but have heard it costs a lot of money. Sorry I can't be of more help. I have also heard the Westbury Manor is beautiful.
