HELP! I messed up a shower thank you

So, I finally started sending out my shower thank-yous today, and put the wrong gift, and a note saying we're sorry you won't be able to attend the wedding. This was for one of FH's parents' neighbors. Turns out, I sent it to the wrong neighbor!! The neighbor I sent it to is in fact coming to the wedding. What do I do?? I didn't mail out the one for the other neighbor yet, so I'll ge hers right. I told FH to have his mother tell the neighbor that when she gets the thank you, not to open it cause it was the wrong one. Any other suggestions??? TIA!!!

i honestly would call them myself and explain...its not that bad-- itll be fine-

Yes just give a quick phone call....im sure this has happened more frequent than u think....just have a laugh about it!

yea id do the same thing....

I would definitely jsut give a quick call and explain that he had a moment of bride brain

I would say, Call them!!!! Especially if you are close and friendly with them!

i'm sending out a new thank you card today, and my FMIL is going to explain what happened to her. i've only met her once, at my shower, so i feel weird calling her, but i will also apologize for my goof at the wedding. def a case of bride brain, i like that one!
