Help- I need a good photographer/videographer recommendation

I'm getting married at Crest Hollow on Long Island in April and I've begun the search for a great photographer and videographer. I've already met with North Shore Studios, Fine Art and I'm going to Cassarino's tonight. Any comments on any of these studios or any others? If you were pleased, let me know photographer's name/cost. Thanks so much!

The videographer that we booked with was Multi-Media Video Productions. We were really impressed with his work. He was not affiliated with a photographer though so we are still searching for that.

We're using Mark Kauffmann. He's in Port Jefferson. Our initial cost for 2 photographers and approx. 500 proofs is $2,000. They shoot colo & B&W and have an incredible style! There are any number of packages for albums, but we haven't decided on what we want yet.

We used Wedding Group One and they were awesome. www.weddinggroupone.com I think their pacakges start at $2,000. My friend used Sherwood Triart and the pics were amazing I think they spent around $6,000 or $8,000 but very worth it if you can afford it!!

We are using Paul Marino Photography. He was recommended here and a friend heard/saw wonderful things about him. We also met with North Shore Studios. We liked them very much but chose Paul. But it was a tough decision. Good luck.

I had my wedding at Crest Hollow last September, and I used Fine Art. They were excellent!!! But, ask for Jimmy only. I wouldn't recommend any of their other photographers. Tell him Lauren Dienes sent you.

We are also using Paul Marino for our photography. His work is excellent, and he was highly recommended on this board. You can do past searches for him. He's in Massapequa. His # is 516-795-6545. It's great because it's his studio and he's the only photographer. We're spending around $3200 with tax. It includes a lot. He also has a great personality. For video we're using Platinum Video. He's in the Vendor listings. Again it's his studio, and it's just him. We're getting a lot of stuff. We're spending around $3000. He starts at $1895. The reason why it's so much is because we're getting the Short Form Edit style and a lot of extras. Instead of a 3 hour wedding video edited, we're going to have it on DVD and VHS, and it's only going to be 30-45 min. long. We're also having a second videographer. We met with 3 other videographers and after seeing his work, we thought the others were not as good. His style is unique. You have to see it for yourself. He'll send you a demo tape. I am using Visual Concepts. They are expensive but very good. My videographer is Candelite Video.
