HELP! i need a summer job!

I will be leaving my job in june (we work 10 months of the year with summers off!) because i will finishing up my grad degree in education in the fall and student teaching - and therefore need to find a job for the summer to save up some $$!! any suggestions and/or know of anything? I would interested in doing somethign with kids, or basically anything where I don't necessarily have to lie about the fact that i am free for only july and aug and then only able to work afterschool!

A camp job would be great but the pay is not so great, otherwise that would be a good option.

What about tutoring, like with Huntington Learning Center or a place like that? Or just posting flyers around- plenty of kids go to summer school! Good luck finding something.

Bartend or waitress!
I made $$$$$$$ while going to school over the summers....and there were a few jobs that I lied to get (I said that I needed the position for the year, not just the summer, and once summer was over, I quit...trust me, no biggie, the turn over is restaurants, bars is huge, no one stays too long...it's expected)

I also made incredible money as a shot girl...some nights I'd only work 3-4 hours and walk out with $250-$300 CASH. If you want to do that route, DO NOT go through an agency, go to a hot bar/club and say you'd like to work for them as a shot girl.

Also, don't think you need bartending school to be a bartender...I just walked in, claimed I had experience in a college bar (I didn't!), mostly doing draft beers, etc...you learn as you go...and most drinks are ordered by ingredient name...and if you don't know something, ask...no biggie.

This is definately not a job working with kids like your post said you wanted, but I had to put it out there that you could possibly work only one night a week and make $$$$$.
