I have some things figured out for my wedding on 4th of July 2015. I can't believe its less that a year away. Yikes! I haven't put deposits yet on anything except DJ and venue. I need recommendations and reviews on the following. Please tell me what you guys think. I am so nervous about picking someone and then they suck!!!

Venue: The Inn at New Hyde Park Dj: Seward Park tech Photo booth: Seward park tech.
Also does anybody have any cute different ideas I can do at my wedding????

I don't know anything about any other vendors, but I did meet with Sherwood Triart for photo. To me, they were way over priced and tried to upsell me on the fact that they do all the work in-studio. The guy just really rubbed me the wrong way and was very hoity-toity, nose in the air--like if you can't afford us, well that's too bad, we don't need you anyway. I'm getting much more for my money at Lighthouse in Port Jeff. If you want the quotes I have for either of them, let me know.

We booked with Lighthouse photography as well as for our videographer. Let me know if you would like me to send you their quote.

We're using Lighthouse for photo and Capture the Moment for video. Prices for CTM are on their website!

I COMPLETELY AGREE. i love there work but after they called me yesterday i was very annoyed at there demeaner on the phone. i am not picking them.

Photo and video suggestions: Capture the moment( who we booked) JayLim(popular with LIW brides) *we met with them also but liked the chemistry wih CTM more
Florists: Burton's Bay view florist
DIY: Have a signature drink that incorporates the holiday like 'firework kiss'or 'sparks fly' or something
Your color scheme can always be a pop of blue and red
Use sparklers at night for your send off
