Originally I booked Father Bob as my officiant. However, after many negative reviews I canceled him. Does anyone know anyone associated with the catholic church that could officiant a wedding ceremony out side of the church? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

We are using father Tom McCormick. He's a vendor on here. He was a Catholic Priest for 21 years and decided he wanted a family, so he left the priesthood. He is still Roman Catholic, but serves people as a layperson. He now performs symbolic Catholic ceremonies. You can't get married 'officially' by a Catholic priest outside of a church. I have also heard good things about father Garrison and Father mike Callahan. They're on here too. Good Luck. FM me if you want anymore info on Father Tom. We're really happy with him.

This is a tricky one. If you want it to be 'recognized' by the Catholic church it isn't easy. If you just want a priest there and don't care if the church recognizes it, then that's easy. If one of you isn't Catholic then getting married outside the church is a snap! If you are both Catholic, there are all sorts of stuff you have to do. People say it is impossible, but from what I hear, if you find the right church who is willing to go through the necessary channels for you, it can happen. Just have to get the OK from the Bishop. We will have to do this too when we get married. We are both Catholic (not practicing) but his family has an issue with us not getting married in church ( I don't really care, our wedding, our choice) but I will have a priest marry us on-site for them. Do a little research - it can happen.

Father Brennan.....FM me if you want info! He was great and traveld to suffolk county for my wedding. Our ceremony was beautiful and all our guests loved him!

I have an appt with Father David Grainson next week. He was also a priest and left to have a family. Someone on here recommended him, so I looked him up. Same deal as poster above, not 'official' with the RC church.
You can't have a RC priest marry you outside of the church without having to go through a big ordeal and get permission from the bishop, I think. It's very hard, I tried and gave up.

I want to have the wedding officiated by a Catholic priest at RH . I live in Massapequa and the wedding is in Suffolk. I'm Catholic and FH is agnostic.Anyone have info?

We are using Reverend David James...he mainly officiates in CT & upstate NY..but does NYC weddings, so he may do LI. He's Episcopalian. He is a wonderful, wonderful man.
