My step mom's birthday is this weekend and we are all going out to dinner as a family. I have NO IDEA what to get her as a gift!!
She and I are really close and I would like to get her something special without breaking the bank.

Gift certificate to Red Door Spa????? FMIL bought this for me for Christmas the year I finished grad school.......BEST GIFT EVER.
Or a gift cert. to her salon?
Or tickets to a concert or broadway show?

Maybe treat her to a day of beauty, and go along with her! It is a great bonding time....I did that with FMIL and it was fun!
or
Mani/pedi and a nice lunch after.....
I am sure she will love anything you get her!

I suggested a sap gc to my dad for her he said she would never use it.
I might just get a gc to macys or something... it's just so impersonal, ya know...
broadway tix would be a great idea but that's out of my budget

Totally agree about the red door salon! that place is awesome!
you could do a gc to spa finder...that way she can use it anywhere.

lol damn sounds like my dad, so hard to shop for
in these cases I get a HUGE bok and make a bday card myself - a collage of pix together and some things they like to do on a daily basis (like playing w/the new grandson)

I was thinking of that, but this is her first bday as a Grandma, so I don't want to take that away from my brother who I am sure is going to give that to her 'from' Graham (my nephew)
