help: I want to sing at my wedding

My FH thinks I sing beautifully, though one time I was purposely sounding bad and he still thought it was great. So I am worried. Its off and on with me. I don't want to go up there and freeze and I don't want to hurt anyones ears. Don't know if I am asking for advice on this one, just need to talk.

If you like to sing and you want to ...go for it! If you think you'll be nervous do a shot before! I have a terrible voice and i've grabbed the microphone at a few weddings!

One of my good friends sang to her DH at their wedding....it was so touching and beautiful... No matter what your love will come shining through...I say go for it!

If he loves your voice, I think it would be really romantic for you to sing to him.

That being said, the decision rests not upon the quality of your voice, but rather upon your temperment. If you are going to be all nervous and anxious about singing, then don't do it. You don't want to be stressed about anything on your big day. But if you are a calm-and-cool or happy-go-lucky type, then by all means go for it!

I went to grad school for musical theatre, so everybody's always asking me if I'm going to sing at my wedding. I really would love to, but I'm not sure if I want to worry about having to sing that day. I'm very neurotic, and I'd want it to be perfect. I'm afraid I'll be obsessing over whether or not I really the lyrics, how my throat feels that morning, avoiding eating/drinking certain things that might make me phlegmy, etc. But that's because I'm a little crazy ;)

Long story short, if you do decide to sing, pick a song that you know like the back of your hand and try not to focus on the sound quality and/or impressing the audience. Just live in the moment and sing to your FH as if he were the only person in the room. If you do that, you'll definitely be a big hit. If you really want to sing, don't let what anyone other than you and your FH might think ruin that moment for you. As long as you will have fun and it will be meaningful to the two of you, do it.
