HELP! I'm a MOH and my bride wants to go to Vegas for her BP!

My friend has 2 MOH's... she spoke to the other one, and not me yet, saying that she wants to go to Vegas for a weekend.

How much is this going to cost me?

She was my MOH and paid for my BP... and I don't want her paying a dime!
I'm very upset about this and I have to try and figure out a way to rationalize with the other MOH and the rest of the bridal party that this is going to be crazy expensive for us.

I chose to go to Miami for my bachelorette party. I covered my own airfare and hotel and everyone else paid for my drinks and food. I thought that was more than fair.

I'm in the opposite situation! My MOH loves Vegas and wants us all (there are 2 other girls in the BP) to go to Vegas for my bachelorette party. I don't want my friends to spend that much money on me especially when one is still in grad school. I think it's possible to find 'cheap' flights in the off season (summer)--we paid $250 round trip on Jet Blue, but that's still an awful lot. Maybe you could find out specifically what it is she likes about Vegas and try to find something more local that has those same characteristics? Good luck!

I am going to VEGAS. We are going Thur- Sunday and it is $500 (hotel and airfare JET BLUE). I am paying my own way. I doubt she expects your guys to pay for her, you shoudl just talk to her.

We are going to Vegas for my BP - BUT I am paying for my own airfare/hote/food etc for the weekend. - I would NEVER ask my friends to pay for me to go on vacation w/ them !!
It's not like paying for dinner/drinks/cover charges for a night you know ???

We are going to vegas also and I am paying for my own Hotel/Air and so forth I thin they are just going to pay for the stripper and fun stuff like admission to clubs and drinks and stuff like that.

Go to Southwest .com and go to SWA vacations. It gives you choices of hotels and flights leaving from Macarthur to Vegas. You pick how many days you want to stay and what time flight you want to take. MaCarthur now has non-stop flights to Vegas. Me and my Fh went last year for four days, three nights and stayed at the Luxor for $450 each. Of course air fare included.

Check it out!!!!!!!!!

Unless you go to all you can eat, Eating and drinking gets expensive their. When I went we ate at a food court in ceasers and pizza another night. I would say you would need at least 200 to 250 pp. Then if you are paying for the bride and extra 150 each for her. If I was the bride,I most likely would feel bad having you pay for me the whole time. Iam guessing she will bring money of her own. Their is always Atm and credit cards if you run out.

Or you can get lucky at the tables and pay for your whole trip, and then some. I ended up doing that for a friend's bacholorette party and paid for my trip, and everyone's limo rides for the weekend

A lot!! I am MOH for my best friend and BM for another friend and they want to do a joint BP to Vegas. It's going to be extremely expensive but at least it'll knock out two of them at once

Anyway, I don't think the bride would expect you to pay for her food, etc the entire time. You should designate one night 'BP Night'. That night, it'll be like you're here, do the BP thing in which you pay for all her drinks, etc. The rest of the time, she has to be on her own, she cannot expect you guys to pay for her vacation.

My husband went to Vegas for his bachelor party (and has gone for two friends bachelor parties also). They way they always do it is: groom pays for his flight and food, bridal party pays for hotel (you usually get good deals and when you split if per person its not much to cover the groom), and they usually do one nice steak dinner that the gm split and the groom doesn't pay.

DH & I were both taken to Vegas. Our BP & friends, all split the hotel & air. For us girls, flight/hotel came out to $432/ea.... so between 6 girls, they each paid $503 (an extra $71/pp for my way). I paid for most of my own food & drinks, my own gambling $ and I would buy the girls' drinks here & there... I also gave them gifts at the airport before departing NY.

The guys went all out for DH - they took direct flights & stayed @ Mandalay Bay. We had connecting flights & stayed @ Bally's.
They spent A LOT of money on him, and didn't let him spend a dime.

Honestly, I think the best thing is to take the bride, at the girls' expense, because she has a lot of other expenses to deal with. However, if she has a small party, or doesn't have that many friends, then of course the trip would be more expensive between a smaller group. If it becomes too expensive, talking to the bride would be key. Maybe she already has $ put aside for Vegas? Or maybe she'll realize the costs, and decide to do something locally.
