Help, Invitations!

Help!! My fiance & I went to order invitations that my mom & I picked out a few weeks ago. Well lets just say they weren't ordered because he had sticker shock and couldn't wrap his head around how much they cost. He budgeted for our invitation $500, and these were around $565. I asked him what was wrong if that's what he budgeted for and he said he thought he was extremely over estimating with that number. I then asked him what he would like to stay around and he said $300.

I've checked magnet street & wedding paper divas. So I have some in mind that I kind of like for around $300. But does anyone have any other suggestions? I am looking for something real simple, just a flat rectangular invitation, no pocket folds or anything. HELP :)

Re: Help, Invitations!

How crafty are you?? And how much free time you have?
For prolly much less than 300.00 you can make invitations that will look like 1,000 invites.
But takes a bit of craftiness and time. This way you can have exactly what you want without sacrificing.
Many many many how to's, google them.
One of my friends made her invitations for her wedding and honestly if she didnt tell me I wouldn't of ever known! . And she isn't overly crafty.
God luck. Hope you find what your looking for!

Help, Invitations!

I was going to suggest DIYing them too.

I've seen a lot of really nice downloads for invites on Etsy. For most, you work with the seller and they customize it for you, then you get the file to print.

Help, Invitations!

You can def find invites for 300 but it gets more costly if you add response cards, note cards, direction cards, lined inner envelopes and addressing services. If you don't care about that you should have no issue. Try davidsbridal.com I ordered mine from there good quality and very reasonable.

Be careful with Davids Bridal, my cousin had a nightmare situation with them. They kept Putting the entire wrong name on her invite. Her name is Lauren and they kept putting Leslie. She had to send them back and forth three times before they got it right, and the proof was correct each time.

I ordered mine from Vistaprint and they are beautiful. I recommend upgrading to the linen paper.

Go to retailmenot.com and they ALWAYS have discount codes.

Mine were under $300

Help, Invitations!

my local party store in Patchogue @ a place called Cedarhurst Paper had awesome invites for awesome prices including response cards etc. they even offer custom napkins, matches and a few other things but the invites I think we're definitely worth the price. I am still thinking of DIYing though! worth a look :)
