Help! Is a 60x60 tent too large for a 100 person wedding?
Just found out the venue I was about to book has a much larger tent than I expected - I guess I never really realized because the actual venue is really intimate. The dance floor is 20x28 as well - is this just too big? I passed up so many places because they were too big and the caterer told me there have been weddings around my size there... is this just wishful thinking? Help please!

No, not wishful thinking at all! I think that sounds okay. Especially the dancefloor... that's a good size for anywhere between 100 and 200 IMO.
Here's a link to a tented weddings thread That won't help with the measurements but it may give you some ideas, I dunno!
You may want to try calling a company (try the NY Tent Company: 631-979-9182 ) and ask them what tent size they'd suggest for 100 guests.
Even though you won't be needing a tent, you can still use them for the info
Hope that helps! Good luck!

as i read your post, the only thing that crossed my mind that might help was this:
remember that there will be 'other' things that will take up space. you probably will have a gift table, a guest book table, a bar, a place to keep the favors, sweetheart table.
i had about 70 ppl at my wedding, and we ended up using the entire venue wich holds up to 150.

I think it will be nice and no one will feel like it's too crowded. I doubt the set up will make it feel like the tent is too big!
