Re: Help: Looking for great photog for$2,000-$2,500
I'm meeting with Thomas Paul Photography on Saturday morning- he's definitely in your price range! Check him out- he's a vendor on this site. I think he gives about 500-600 proofs and provides 2 photographers (one traditional, one photojournalist)

Tom Paul is awesome, but for $2,500 you'll get pics and enlargements, but you won't get an album. My package with him will be around $3000 after I add a digital album to his base package.

Try Mariann Szuchs from Blue Daisy Weddings
www.bluedaisyweddings.com
She is phenomenal -much better than the other photogs recommended above (and I looked into all of them!) - I absolutely loved my wedding pics...
She might have raised her prices, but she was very affordable when I booked her....
I got 800 proofs - definitely not limited - You can tell her Laura from LIWeddings sent you - maybe she will give you a similar package

I used Bill Minnick. He has such a wide range of packages. When I booked him back at the beginning of 05, he had this package that falls in your budget (there are also others but you get the most with this)
The Silver V DELUXE package ($2499) includes up to 10hrs wedding coverage, a minimum of 500 4x6 proofs (your to keep), a leather 8x10 bride and groom album with 36 8x10's, 2 4x5 parent albums with 24 pictures in each, one 11x14 enlargement and 100 thank you cards with wallet size picture. Includes one photographer's assistant.
If you have any questions, please feel free to fm me.
