Help!! Looking for Long Island RH under 100pp with tax!!

Hey Guys!!

We've only been engaged for 2 weeks and I've found myself going crazy trying to find reasonably priced reception halls that are inexpensive yet still classy.

I recently went to Atlantis Marine World's Sea Star Ballroom and it was to die for!! Only downside was for a Sept 2012 Sunday day wedding it was about 105pp with tax. Not bad, but the cocktail hour only has 4 cold platters and passed hors d'oeurves.
Anyone I have spoken to said that price was crazy with no buffet included in the cocktail hour. To add it was an extra 20pp and I have 170 people and it seems rather pricey for a daytime reception.

I am open to have a Friday, Sat or Sunday night wedding or Sunday day. Fiance is jewish and cannot do a Saturday day.

Nassau, Suffolk does not matter. Someone please help me!! I would prefer around the 70-80pp for a Sunday day and around 100pp for night time, but I am open to all suggestions!!!

Thank you ladies for all of your responses.. I've been too busy the past two days to even attempt to think about planning a wedding with my fiancees father in the hospital but all of your suggestions help a lot!

Just got off the phone with Watermill, it is 10 minutes from my house and he quoted me 80pp plus tax for a friday in September. The two dates he gave me can work with the dates we'd need to take the honeymoon and we have an appt Thursday.

When I have another free night to check out a venue I will be calling some more of the fabulous halls that have been recommended!

A friend of mine just booked the Westbury Manor for a Saturday (daytime) wedding next August, and they quoted her $74 a person... tons of food choices, and I think they're even throwing in the cake and centerpieces! Beautiful place!! :)

Smithtown Landing Country Club was under 100/plate for me, for a summer Friday night, with Viennese hour! Definitely worth a shot!

I was looking for the same price range and ended up with Crest Hollow a little bit over 100pp. I remember the Watermill and Larkfield manor were also in that price range of under 100pp.

Wm doesninclude cake but not centerpieces. I actually called and asked today, but they r wonderful and accommodating. We r paying $104 w tax and that includes some extras and we choose not to take cake bc we hard heard not so great things. Hth

Please keep in mind that besides tax, you will also have to pay somewhere around 20% extra for gratuity!

You should try the Waterview Club in Bayville. Depending on what you want, they have a range of choices. My cousin had her wedding there for $90pp and the dinner and cocktail hour was amazing. I've been to a few dinners there and I love the food. It's on the waterfront, so the view is amazing!

They've recently changed their menu though--so not sure if pricing is still affordable. But it wouldn't hurt to check if you're having trouble finding a place!

I didn't get as cheap of a quote as the other WM girls, but def check that out! I got lower quotes from Larkfield Manor and ChataeuBriand. Good luck, FM if you have any questions!
