HELP ME!

I don't know what else to do, but this is a long island site so I am putting this out there.....

For anyone that lives in the Dix Hills area (by the commack middle school)

I lost my dog last night. She is a yorkie- 7 lbs.
She is wearing a red collar with rhinestones, and is wearing a bell.

Her name is Margie- she is very friendly- we are heartbroken!!!

Please let me know if you hear or see anything!!

Re: HELP ME!

Sunny, my father lost his dog when we still lived in NY and we couldn't find her. Finally we all panned out and went door to door for several blocks. A family had taken her in because of the cold and was hoping someone would come looking for her soon. I'll pray you find her.

Re: HELP ME!

I hope so too. We hung signs, put fliers in all the mailboxes, called all the local shelters- we are very worried.

Re: HELP ME!

Beemer got lost last year for about 2 hours, I was crying and freaking out the whole time. I was in a condo then so her range was limited. Drive around and ask ALL of your neighbors to watch for her. Chances are she will come home. Thankfully it is warmer also. Call Little Shelter, that is in Huntington. Make sure no one has called them with your puppy. And call the local vets. Sometimes people will go to their local vet with a lost animal. Good Luck

Oh no! I'm so sorry. Keep checking in with the local shelters! Was she wearing tags so if anyone picked up they would know who to contact? Were there any tracks in the snow you could follow?

Re: HELP ME!

She is wearing tags. We don't see any tracks- we looked all over the neighborhood. She disappeared last night around 8pm- we looked all night and all day today.
We think someone must have picked her up.

Re: HELP ME!

Dont worry - these things have a way of working themselves out. My mom has a teacup yorkie (3lbs) thats 5 yrs old. About 3 years ago the dog got out and ran away (my parents had just moved to Pennsylvania from Dix Hills). Well, the dog was missing for 9 days and what do you know - someone found her! She was gone that whole time in the mountains of Pennsylvania in the freezing cold weather and she survived. She ended up having a few bruises and stuff on her but other than that she was good. Good luck!

Re: HELP ME!

Oh my gosh, I would be devastated. Have you checked the local pound or shelter. My friend lives in that area and lost her bichon and they found her at the pound or the shelter. I can ask her. Oh, please try to hang in there. I hope she is returned to you!

Re: HELP ME!

When did you put the flyers out? If you just did it today someone may have taken her in but they may not have seen the flyer yet if they are still at work. Best of luck. I really hope you find her.

Re: HELP ME!

I am so sorry to hear that. I have 2 little dogs and can imagine what you're going through. You didn't by chance have that tracer put in her. One of my two dogs was implanted with one when she was born. So if she ever disappears they can track where she is. Let us know if you find your dog.

Re: HELP ME!

Our dog ran away a few years ago, it was one of the worst days ever, I was devestated. He is a purebred lab, so we were so afraid that someone had picked him up. We went to the ASPCA, they sent a van out to look for him and actually found him very close to FHs house. They thought he had gotten lost and could not find his way back. I would suggest calling them, they were so helpful and I feel like I really owe them for finding him. Good luck, I am keeping my fingers crossed for you!
