help me choose :)

Original post by elfkin28

Hi there....ok i am very confused. I think I have narrowed it down to three places, all with different pros & cons. The prices range is almost in the same range +/- $5000. I know 5000 is a nice amount, but I'm not even thinking of that as long as i choose the right place. Here are the choices:

1. Larkfield Manor - getting a great deal, love the place & i'm probably getting the most for my money, but the are doing construction and i'm not sure what will be available yet for picture options

2. Chateau la Mer - Great price, getting a lot for my money, love the water but also are in the middle of renovations, the ceremony room is not done yet so I cant tell what it will look like or if it will be ready

3. Crescent Beach Club - probably getting the least for the money, place is gorgeous, could possibly get great pics on the beach if I arrive early since sunset in March is around 6 p.m

** Keep in mind I am getting married in March so even though all of these places have an outdoor area I doubt it will be utilized except for smoking

Thank you so much in advance for any opinions :))))

You definitely don't get all of the benefits of the Crescent Beach Club by having the wedding in March (the outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour are great), but it's still a wonderful place to get married. The service and food are outstanding. They were wonderful to work with and made us feel like a king and queen on our wedding day. I haven't been to the other reception halls, but I highly recommend the Crescent.

A friend of mine just went to a wedding at Chateau La Mer and she said that the food was awful.

Really??? I'm shocked. My FH and I went to the tasting for my sister and BIL for their wedding and enjoyed the food then and at the wedding.

Maybe go to a tasting if you're hesitant about the food. I think they have it once a month.

Her exact words were that the pasta course tasted like Chef Boy R Dee. I wasn't there myself so I don't know personally. They also had a horrible dj at the wedding so maybe the whole experience left a bad taste in her mouth.

My choice would be CLM, I went to a wedding at CLM last year and the food was awesome.
