As for a vacuum I like the Hoover V2 Windtunnel bagless one.
A friend has one & I love it! (I hope I get mine Christy)
Cookware-I like Faberware. Everyone that has it says it lasts forever.

I have farberware now and like it. I registered for Analon Advanced and got it. I have not used it yet, but it is supposed to be really good.

I have a Hoover Windtunnel with a bag, I like it better than the bagless because the bagless reminds me of a dirty dust buster.
Cookware - we have Circulon - we love it!
Down Comforter - Go to BBB and feel out the differnt weights, everyone will have there own preferrences

Cookware: My mother's Faberware has outlasted her marriage to my dad (32 years for the cookware, 15 years for the marriage). If you love, love, love to cook, and have a gas stove then you can consider doing research on the very expensive brands of cookware. If you are just a normal gal cooking dinners you cannot go wrong with Faberware.

Vacums: I know my friends hated their bagless, and got a mid-range Hoover. We have our 'single-days' vacumns still and need a new one next year, so I am no help with this. I would say those $98 Target vacumns are are not great.

Down Comforters; We LOVE ours, but brought it 2 years ago so I am not sure of the maker etc... It's a very personal thing. Some people LOVE a heavy, thick blanket while others like a thin blanket because they don't like it to get too warm while they sleep. I recommend getting a Duvet cover for it though. It will help it last much longer.

I got an Oreck vacuum for my shower from my bridesmaids. It is so light...I love it. It is great when I need to take it upstairs and downstairs.

I also got a Oreck vacuum and lie it so far!!!! It is very light.

I registered for All Clad cookware on recommendations from this site and friends. It is very $$ but supposedly worth it. The pots are very heavy. I got the LTD collection but I must say they scratch very easy (the outside) ...I think I should have gotten a different collection.

The best vacuum cleaner we have had is the one we got few months ago from Costc, it is an Eurekä 'The Boss'

My vote for a vaccum is a KIRBY
Pots, we have the Professional Nonstick by Calphalon set I think it has 10 pieces. We love it.
Rich is alergic to down so we don't have any of that.
