Help me decide BM dress length

I wholeheartedly prefer the full length for a several reasons:

1) Tea length is the very 'now' length for BM dresses. I worry that years from now, it will remind us of the puffy sleeves in 80s weddings.

2) Tea length dresses make your legs look fat. I have twiggy legs and tea length makes me look like I have tree trunks attached to my body. I can count on one hand the number of people I've seen wearing tea length without having the tree trunk syndrome.

3) Full length is so much more formal. Tea length dresses remind me of a summery picnic. Thinking about photos, I just believe your wedding ends up looking casual when the BMs wear tea length.

DITTO!! I also feel that tea length isn't always the most flattering and unless all of your BM's are the same height, the dresses will all look like different lengths when they stand next to each other.

First of all I LOVE those dresses, where did you get them??

I prefer the tea length dress, and I think thats what I am going to pick for my BM dresses, but my wedding is also during the day, and I want it to be relaxed, less formal, but I am sure whatever you pick will be beautiful!

Although the tealength is adorable.. I would say the full length for the wedding also. More formal IMO

You need to ask yourself a few questions.

How formal do you want your wedding to be? If your looking for a summer, laid back and fun wedding then tea length is the way to go. If you want a typical formal LI wedding then full length is the obvious choice. BUT I will say that with full length, there really isn't any room for error/regrets.

I wouldn't worry about the length of the skirt being different on everyone. The dress looks differenet on everyone anyway, unless you have uniform bridesmaids, full length or tea length will look different on different people.
(you remember how you looked vs. my sister vs my SIL christine all wearing the same dress)

Personally, I think pink and green are really 'cute' colors and the tea length is a really 'cute' dress so if you want to go for that feeling, if thats what you want when you plan out your day then go for it!!!

I think your hall has a cottagey feel to it and it would go well together. I can picture all the girls on those steps with the bo-ks and those dresses and it would look so pretty! (god I hope I'm tan by then)

Finally, as for the dated thing, since its a classic look, kinda 1950s, I dont think it will look dated in a bad way. As long as its not ugly or obtrusive, who cares if it looks like it was from 2005? How cute is it when you see 1950s pics?

One of them is right above your post. It's pretty much 50/50 but no one seemed like they liked they had a really strong preference. God I'm still so not sure and I really want to order them next month. I feel like I'm stressing over something that I shouldn't be.

I like this particular dress in floor length.

I'm having tea length but to keep it in between black tie and semi formal I went with a charcoal gray satin color.
I think the pink in tea length may be too informal for a night wedding.

Either way the BM dresses wont 'set the tone' for your reception. You just have to be concerned how they will look with you in pics.
Your hall and decorations will set the tone more so I think for the feel of your wedding.
