I finally decided that I was going to use the pink BM dresses (instead of the off white with flowers since I don't think it will show in pics), but now I'm so torn as to whether I should order the dress in tealength or full length. I'm worried that the length will look different on the girls and that the tealength is not as fancy. Opinions please I'm posting the one with flowers to show you the length.
Personally I like the tea length especially in the pink color

Re: Help me decide BM dress length
How old are your BMs?
I originally wanted tea length, but my thirtysomething BMs got flashbacks of their prom dresses when we tried on tea length dresses.
ETA: my avatar is my BM dresses, but, alas, they'll be in full-length. And, they're going to be periwinkle.

Re: Help me decide BM dress length
BMs are 23, 24, 24, 30 and 33 (but I think she's dropping out). When I went to the bridal shop the woman advised me not to get tealength for an evening wedding. I know it's my choice but I just don't know what I want. I guess I love the tealength bc I can see me wearing it another time but maybe it's too casual.

Re: Help me decide BM dress length
First of all I LOVE LOVE LOVE that pink dress with the green ribbon!!!
Second, I was having the tea length/full length debate too. I ultimately decided on full length because I like how it looks better in pics with brides (who generally wear full length dresses:). More streamlined...

Okay, that is the greatest dress! Very, very cute! I would agree with your bridal salon, full length for evening

Re: Help me decide BM dress length
I wholeheartedly prefer the full length for a several reasons:
1) Tea length is the very 'now' length for BM dresses. I worry that years from now, it will remind us of the puffy sleeves in 80s weddings.
2) Tea length dresses make your legs look fat. I have twiggy legs and tea length makes me look like I have tree trunks attached to my body. I can count on one hand the number of people I've seen wearing tea length without having the tree trunk syndrome.
3) Full length is so much more formal. Tea length dresses remind me of a summery picnic. Thinking about photos, I just believe your wedding ends up looking casual when the BMs wear tea length.
**I adore the pink dress with the ribbon. I know I've seen it. Is that Watters & Watters?

I prefer the full length. I think it is more wedding appropriate for adults JMO.

Re: Help me decide BM dress length
I personally love the tea length but my only concerns were 1) it does not flatter a lot of people and 2) will we look back in 20 years and wonder 'What were we thinking???'

Re: Help me decide BM dress length
I am going with tea length and the girls are all fine with that (I have from 18-34) they know that they can use it again so they are all okay with it.

Re: Help me decide BM dress length
I would go with whatever you like best- I love the look of a tea length gown and my girls are wearing this length as well. I am haing a Sat night black tie affair and I do not think the length is less dressy than floor length- it's just a different look.

Re: Help me decide BM dress length
I had the same problem as you. I had originally wanted tea length. But when some of my BMs tried it on it just didn't look right. Like it was just not formal enough. It looked the worst on the shorter girls. One of my BMs is 5 feet. That's just what I experienced. I'm sure whatever you choose will be fine.

I think for the ages of your BP and evening, full length is the way to go

Re: Help me decide BM dress length
I am going with floor length - it's an evening wedding and I personally feel it looks more formal. In addition I want the girls to get black shoes (burgundy dress) so they can wear them for more than one event. We discussed tea length and agreed that in the end if they wanted to use the dress for other events they had the option of having it altered.
