I am sorry and You will hate me but I will most likely go with ballons...
I really like balloons... have always love balloons... and as soon as my church told me you cant have ANYTHING that hits the floor, Ballons came to my mind...

Unless i swtch my mind from now til Setp.....

Why don't you take pics with the balloons, then pop them all at once...'MAZEL TOV!' and throw them in teh garbage where they can biodegrade safely out of the mouths of innocent fish

omg totally agree!!!!!!!! love the idea!

i understand what you're saying V, but just be careful. THere are very strict laws against pollution, etc. I know this sounds crazy, but a cop could very easily give you a citation for that...

Also, i would check with your church... i have a feeling they won't want to be associated with this kind of heavy polluting.

why dont you do this:

get fishing line, and attach it to the balloon bunches, this way you can 'release' them, but they will still be attached to something. So your pictures will still have to allussion of being released

dont hate me. it's just my opinion :)

they are for birthdays and proms, or even e-partys, but not for weddings

I also dont like a balloon release because I love the earth LOL i always wonder where the balloons go, and do they pollute lakes and oceans afterwards?

I did bio-degradable confetti ( earth friendly, church approved)

but thats just my thoughts - ( ps- listened to you about just having the white shoes at the wedding) ;)

but in the end - you do what you love :)

Yo queria Arroz, but church doesnt want NOTHING that hits the ground bc now one will 'clean' it. I even told them i could pay soemthng to pick the arroz/confetti/rosas up but thye say NO

Do NOT release balloons!

They end up in the ocean where they resemble jellyfish and other fish and birds eat them and die!

ITA! even if they are 'biodegradable' if there are strings attached, the birds and sea life can get them wrapped around their beaks, necks, etc.
