I AM LOOKING FOR A DJ FOR MY RECEPTION W/ A POSSIBLE MC AS WELL. ALL I CAR ABOUT IS HAVING THE DANCE FLOOR PACKED W/ PEOPLE DANCING AND HAVING FUN ALL NIGHT. I WANT SOMEONE WHO WILL MOTIVATE PEOPLE W/O BEING TOO OBNOXIOUS. ANY RECOMMENDATIONS?

High Energy Entertainment!!!! I used them for both my engagement party and my wedding. Both times the dance floor was packed! Ralph, the owner knew what songs to play to keep people dancing and he played all the songs that my husband and I wanted. They are a vendor here definately call them! They weren't really expensive either which was helpful!
i`m using ralph too! he did a coworkers wedding and he said they were great so FH and i went to meet with him and told him that we`d be back witha deposit!!!!

Bravura is amazing. I just used them and have been to 2 other weddings with them. They are awesome. I had the percussions also and everybody raved about them.

Starlight Express does a great job! They have great sound quality and keep people on the dance floor and are as involved as you want or don't want them to be.

I agree! We booked him on the spot. If you go to one of their showcases they will demonstrate how your wedding will be. I have read nothing but rave reviews about them.

We used BodyRock. The dance floor wasn't empty the entire night. They helped to make the reception a huge sucess. Their number is 516 876-0300

Classie Sounds Entetainment they are fabulous. If you search for the post by MJDoc12 titled GREATEST WEDDING I'VE EVER ATTENDED....our Nina is married and read her post then scroll down and MrsDaniRella also gives a review on the wedding you will be able to read about them. They are in Brooklyn, but are also one of the house vendors from Russo's on the Bay.

Bravura is great. They are def. not one of those DJ companys who harass people into dancing, but they can keep the party going.
we had them out our wedding and our dance floor was full the whole night!!! request Tony to be ur MC and u won't have anything to worry about.
ETA: we had the live percussionists and sax guys and they were amazing!!!
