So I found a dress online that I really REALLY want to try on. It looks extremely similar to a dress I tried on a few months ago and fell in love with, but was just way too expensive.
Problem is, I've called every JLM authorized retailer within 50 miles of my house, and NONE of them carry it! I figured I'd turn to you ladies for some ideas as to how to find it without traveling to St. Paul, Minnesota, which is the closest place I've found the dress.
It's a Tara Keely dress, style TK2202.
If you can help me at all, I'd owe you a ton!
Thanks ladies!!!

You would want to try it before ordering it.

Perhaps you can ask one of the stores to send a loaner. I did that with a Maggie Sottero dress I saw online but no stores in NY carried it. I had to pay $60 for the loaner to be shipped but I felt like I would be upset forever if I didn't get to try on the dress.

I don't know they did it either until Paradise Bridal told me they could. I'm dreading driving to Patchougue tomorrow but I'm happy I get to try my dress on. Good luck!
I'd try asking them to see if they can get a loaner. I'm getting my Demetrios dress from Bridal Suite in Centereach and even though I already had tried on the dress elsewhere... the owner of the store called and got the floor model so he could see the dress on me for alteration purposes.
As long as they're an authorized retailer... they should be able to get a loaner.

What about the Bridal Garden in the city or Vows in Mass.? Bridal Garden is donated gowns (the money goes to charity), but if you're ok with that it might be worth a shot.
ETA: We live in the fashion capital of the world and their flagship store in in CALIFORNIA?? WTH, I'm irritated for you

I put in a gown notification for Vows, and I'm going to check Bridal Garden now. Thanks so much!!
And also, I KNOW!!! And Lazaro, who is the actual designer, is constantly in NY for trunk shows and showings. I'm pretty sure there's no such thing as 'California Fashion Week'. LOL

I would definately try the loaner thing. A lot of salons can order it in even if its just for a short amount of time so you can try it.. And if worse comes to worse your out a few bucks but you dont have the dreaded 'what if?' Good luck!
