Help me find undergarments!!!

I bought a beautiful corset last week (actually, a 'torsolette'). It fits perfectly and is exactly what I hoped to wear under my wedding gown. The only problem is that it shows through my dress! Yipes!!

My dress is off-the-shoulder, Aline, empire waist. Above the waistline is pearly, sparkly beadwork. Below the waistline, the dress is smooth and kind of close fitting. That's where the corset showed.

Wish I can post a pix of my dress. It's too big and I can't figure out how to re-size it!

Can anyone recommend a strapless, waist long bra? I definitely need support for 'the twins'.

If you are wearing a similar cut dress, please let me know what you're wearing underneath!!

Georgette's on Hicksville Road in Bethpage is fabulous. If you bring her a picture of your dress, I'm sure they can recommend something for you.

I got mine at Mirium's Corsetieres in E. Meadow for my strapless dress. It hugs the waist and goes about 2 inches past the hips so that it won't move.
You go back 2 weeks before the wedding and they will custom fit it to your body for an even better fit. I am very happy with the corsette I got there.

SS, I had the same problem with a shorter 'long line' bra (the band showed through my dress) so I bought the longer line bra and it worked better. I really didn't care for Georgette's, went there twice looking for a long line which they told me they didn't carry that had as much support as the shorter longer line bras and I went on-line and found it! Of course they wanted the sale, I wound up buying another one and it doesn't even fit me correctly up top! I have spent $160 on undergarments so far and I don't even like the ones I got, arrrgh!
