Actually..that is what I call it when my dam black roots grow in and ruin my highlites LMAO!!! totally looks like a caterpillar lol..

but anyways... how often do u do touch ups??? can the person at the salon just do the roots when its highlited?? i hate this!!!!!!!! i want my blond back,

Every 2 months but mine isn't black and blonde--my roots are light brown and highlights blonde and red.

I have blonde highlights and go for a touchup every 3-4 months.

My roots grow out SO FAST and it isn't black, its mainly grey

...

If i was really good about it I'd go every 6 weeks, but I actually try to stretch it out to 2 months or more.

They can just do the roots, no need to mess with the highlights

i go every 5-6 weeks... sometimes i go for highlights and a basebreak, where they lighten your overall color (roots included) sometime I just go for the basebreak where they just touch up the roots no highlights (foils). mine is maintenance but i like the end results and know I cannot do it myself!!!
