Help Me Pick My Favors Please! W/ Follow Up Question!

So, I have been tossing and turning over what to do for favors. FH and I are paying for our wedding and HM ourselves, so money is not free flowing. Originally, we were going to do scratch off lotto tickets along with a Quik Pick ticket. Total cost about $2 plus envelope and sticker to close envelope. I thought it was a cute idea, but figured I'd add candy or something to it.

Then I got the idea of doing coffee mugs. I'm all about getting favors that one could use- and not have our names or wedding date on them so people will actually use them! This is the design that I came up with... CLICK HERE! What do you think? Would you like this as a wedding favor if you received it? Would you use it? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!! TIA!

Our colors are pink, brown and white- hence the mug colors!

FOLLOW UP QUESTION: If I do go with the mugs, should I also buy the gift boxes from the company or should I wrap the mugs with tulle and a bow? I'm thinking of drunkin people transporting them after the reception is over, but also the fact that I want people to SEE them while they are on the tables!!

i like them, i like practical gifts as favors the way i think is that these favors cost so much money i dont want mines end up in the garbage & your won't

That's really nice, I like them!! I would go ahead and get the gift boxes so they're more stable. Your guests will just have to open the boxes if they want to see them.

I agree completely, I'd buy a gift box and put the mugs in there...something along the lines of:

I love the coffee mug and would definitely use it! I think I like the tulle and bow better for wrapping but that's up to you! good luck..my FH and i are paying for our wedding and HM also i know how hard it is!

None of the mugs I have match so I think it would be fine if you did it with the date or without. You should be fine without the boxes too. What if you filled them with a bag of candy?

It's a cute idea and I would definitely reuse it. You could never have too many mugs!
Buying the boxes from the company might be costly depending on the #s of guests you have. Wrapping them in tule is a great idea because the guests get to see them.
I don't think you have to worry about them breaking the mugs. I had a lot of drunken guests at my wedding and no one broke the wine favor.

we are doing coffee mugs, every other setting will have a choc. or pink mug, we will have our names and date put on w/ a double heart, printed in silver, each mug will have a personalized coffee or hotchoc. packet in it.

i think the mugs are absolutely adorable if you're going to wrap them in tool, another cute idea i've seen is to throw in a little bag of coffee...they have the personalized ones now that u can get that say 'Made with Love' or just your names, or whatever u'd like it to say....just an idea! i think it would add a cute little touch

Your box question: I bought the mugs with the boxes to be honest I was not crazy about the boxes and I am going to wrap mine in bubble wrap pockets with tissue and tulle wrapped around them!
