Help Me Pick My Favors Please! **W/ Follow Up Question!**

So, I have been tossing and turning over what to do for favors. FH and I are paying for our wedding and HM ourselves, so money is not free flowing. Originally, we were going to do scratch off lotto tickets along with a Quik Pick ticket. Total cost about $2 plus envelope and sticker to close envelope. I thought it was a cute idea, but figured I'd add candy or something to it.

Then I got the idea of doing coffee mugs. I'm all about getting favors that one could use- and not have our names or wedding date on them so people will actually use them! FOLLOW UP QUESTION: If I do go with the mugs, should I also buy the gift boxes from the company or should I wrap the mugs with tulle and a bow? I'm thinking of drunkin people transporting them after the reception is over, but also the fact that I want people to SEE them while they are on the tables!!
