HELP ME PICK THE DATE!!!!!!

Hey Ladies,

I am having SO much trouble making a decision about my wedding date! I booked November 13, 2011.... went to my food tasting with my family and my future wife's wedding... who all said it would be such a shame if we could not have this wedding outside because the grounds of Majestic Gardens is SO beautiful. I was already planning on trying to have the wedding outside anyway and if it was too cold (which I am sure it would be) I would see about getting heated lamps outside for everyone.... (who knows how much this would cost.)

My mom asked the woman at Majestic what other days were available and she said October 2, 2011. She said this was in peak season so to have this date it would cost $2,800.00 more. AND who knows how the weather would be (rain or shine) and I may not even be able to have it outside anyway.

I can't stop thinking about which date to pick... one costs a lot more money... but I would hate to not use the grounds that we are paying for. The outside is BEAUTIFUL!

The original plan for us was to go out of state on 11/11/11 (the first time we kissed the clock said 11:11 so it has sentimental value) then come back to NY and have the reception on the 13th. That was always the original plan. And the weather has been SO beautiful up until the past 2 days with 70 degree weather so there would be a pretty good chance of us getting married outside if we changed the date earlier.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because 11/13 is not 11/11.... Close but not the same date...

oct 2nd u have a better chance of having the weather u want for outdoors!!!

You do have a better chance for nicer weather but Oct weather is always iffy because it the end of hurricane season . If you have it in your budget go for Oct but Nov can also be nice I was in my friends wedding in Nov last year and it was really nice outside

10/2 is my birthday and this year we went out on my dads boat. Its gorgeous. Any day has a risk w the weather but for 3k more id go w oct!

personally, I'd prob stay with 11/13.
yes, there is a better chance that the weather will be beautiful on 10/2, but what if it rains? then you paid the extra $$ and weren't able to use the grounds anyway
like PP said, sometimes Nov is beautiful too! My bff got married 11/7 last year and it was in the 60s i think and sunny and beautiful!
also - the $2,800 more - I'm assuming thats only if your guest list is at its min. What if you go way over? The cost will multiply by the # of guests, so it could end up being more than $2,800 more

Personally, I love the weather in September and October so I would go with the 2nd.

I would say the 2nd. I think the weather will be better, and that can really affect the day. (But I'm sure either way your wedding will be beautiful!)

11/13 is not 11/11 but that's because on 11/11 I need to go out of state to get married. I don't have the same rights here! So I will be married on 11/11.

Would you want to be 'married' before youre 'married'??? Did that make sense? hahaha. I think you should have the celebration after you officilaly get married And the way the weather has been you dont really know what it'll be like!

lol listen.... I am going out of state to BE MARRIED (OFFICIALLY MARRIED) and 11/13/11 is the reception date! BUT I am having a ceremony on 11/13 at the venue so I can have my dream wedding... like I should have if everyone in the world would stop voting against gay marriage. So nothing would be coming 'before' anything else.

does this make sense??

that's sweet! I originally voted for the October date but now I like the November date more, if u think about it, u'll be celebrating ur marriage for the whole weekend!!! getting married on 11/11 (Friday), and then having the party on 11/13 (Sunday)

lol I am becoming more and more confused with all the thoughts and reasons from everyone! I thought this was going to help me make the final decision!!!!

AND- my mom just told me pick 10/2/11 for a definite and so did my sisters. BLAHH!!!

ok, this might help, close ur eyes and imagine urself getting married in each date, imagine all the things that might happen (weather and all), now open ur eyes, in which date do u see urself getting married?

11/13/11 BECAUSE

1. I want to get married when its completely dark... I want there to be NO lights... only candles lit.

2. it has sentimental value to me to have my whole weekend be my wedding.

BUT

1. I most likely not be getting married outside on 11/13 bc my mom told me its cruel to have people outside freezing their asses off.

I'd go with October. November will be cold. You will definitely not have an outdoor ceremony. If you go with October you have a possibility. But, if you really want the leaves to be all different colors, go with November. The leaves are only starting to change right now, they're still mostly green. Even if your ceremony isn't outdoors, you can still take your pics there!
Also think of it this way, no one is guaranteed to be able to use the outdoors no matter what month it is. Crappy weather occurs all year.

i picked november for your sentimental reasons and your ability to get married on your special day (11/11/11).

i think you'll regret not having that as your date in the end.

and like you said - it may rain and you'll be unable to use the outdoor grounds anyhow.
