help me plan my menu

My family is coming over for lunch tomorrow...we were going to BBQ but it is supposed to rain - so that is out.

I want to cook, but I would like to keep it fairly simple since there will be 5 of us, and they are coming over at 12:30 - so I don't want to be up at 6 cooking.

Any ideas?

I was thinking of making chili - with a tex/mex kind of a theme...but I am open to ANY ideas. TIA!

A tex-mex theme sounds yummy. You could make tacos. All the prep could be done before. Or you could make a stew or a pot of sauce w/meatballs.

you can make chicken quesidilla's. all you have to do is get pita bread add cheese to it and chicken strips and cook it for 20-30 minutes till it melts.
