Lisa- It can be done.... I would go with closer to the 10 months option because you can get some better selctions on who you would like for photo, band, etc... Did you know where you wanted to get married? Several amazing places will def be open... Definitely begin questioning.

Are you planning on having the ceremony at the reception place? If not, look to book your church too Start calling and making appointments to book the hall- this can all be done in any amount of time. Don't worry, take a deep breath and it'll all be ok.

You can definitely plan a wedding in this time frame. The most important things to do first is book the church/ceremony site, reception hall, band, photographer & videographer b/c these vendors tend to book up fast. Next, focus on the wedding dress.
