Help me throw together a Halloween party!

We're having a few friends over the night before Halloween and I want it to be fun and creative, but I just feel so rushed. Help me come up with cool ideas. Are they any good food/drinks I should make? good favor or invite ideas?

THANKS!

Re: Help me throw together a Halloween party!

as for food, I'm making sausage bread (just take sweet Italian sausage - or any other kind you like - out of it's casing and brown in a pan. Roll out a pizza dough and spread the sausage around. Top with mozzerella, or anything else you like. Roll up, brush with olive oil and bake until golden brown. Cut into slices), chicken wings, and we are seriously going to carve that puking pumpkin and have cheese and stuff coming out of it. I also saw this recipe on TV where they took a whole chunk of brie and wrapped it in ready-made puff pastry and baked it until it all melted. It looked so yummy.

I'm aslo going to make rum-spiked mulled cider.

Someone posted a link on the recipes board not too long ago that all sorts of Halloween recipes. Some kind of for kids, but they were really cute - bloody pop-corn and worms in dirt, that sort of thing.

ETA: Oh, yeah and all the usual Halloween things like pumpkin or sweet potato pie, caramel apples, etc.

Sounds cute! Thanks for the ideas, although I ahd to skip over the sausage one, it was starting to make me puke

Thanks for the ideas. I'll check the recipes board.

Also, this is an adult party, no kids. Just some of my friends.

Re: Help me throw together a Halloween party!

We are also having a party that night and some of the things my mother in law got were from Spencer's such as a monster head that you put dip in and a bowl for chips. We are also going to get the Halloween punch bowl they have there. We are making some sort of punch out of the bartender's bible and putting dry ice in it to make it look like it's smoky.

Re: Help me throw together a Halloween party!

That's cool. One of ym ideas was to make an ice bowl, but isntead fo putting flowers in it, put fake spiders and worms, etc.

Re: Help me throw together a Halloween party!

Get an inflatable coffin and put the beer in it, have a contest for best costume. Prize can be nice bottle of wine.

Or make a heaven/hell theme. Me and my friends did it. Make one room red and one blue. Decorate in the colors, put lightbulbs in lamps in the colors. We put clouds of silver, white and blue in one room and flames of orange and red on the walls in the other.
