Help me vent on Invitation Quotes

Has one else found that by going through the Manufacturer yourself that you are getting the same deal that an invitation vendor is giving you?

For ex: I get an invitation quote from a vendor. It gives the total price and then it shows a discount. I see the discount and think great I am saving money with this vendor.

BUT.. then you check out the invitation manufacturer and they offer cheaper prices ??

Wondering if anyone has had this happen. it is an ol' sales tactic I know.. just soo frustrating to see.

I tried comparing and I realized all I was doing was driving myself crazy - so I picked the invite I liked, got a quote from a few vendors and ended up ordering them from Rebecca at Favorite Things and the price was really good - I just got tired of looking around, they were usually the same price everywhere.
PS - def. call Rebecca - she's very helpful, it's better to go through someone besides the manufacturer so you get personal assistance and advice.

I did not have this problem....

I bought my invitations from Linda's Lovelies and they were definately cheaper than the manufacturer and substantialy lower than all the other quotes I received.

Thanks for your help. I am driving myself insane with tooooo much research. I can't say I am 'mad' at the quote. But I just think if they are offering a discount it should be a real discount.
