I am going to my walk-through tonight on our co-op at 6:00- Does anyone have a list of what we should check for????

THANKS!

I'm posting this on Home/NWR also, but I know i'll get a good response from my '05ers!

Umm, for cracks, stains/tears on the carpeting, make sure all the appliances work (one of the burners in our apartment doesn't, which we missed ).... What else... check around the shower heads...

Umm, that's all i can think of right now... i'll get back to ya if i think of any more... good luck!

make sure all of the walls are there... its amazing what people take with them when they move out j/k... i know youre stressed

make sure you check for leaks (especially under the sink.. lookfor water damage).. examine all the tiles in the bathroom closely to make sure none of them are 'loosely' placed, make sure to look UP at the ceiling (cracks= structural weakness), and i think everything else was covered in the responses already. Make sure you check the appliances CLOSELY... problems with those can add up... like turn on the oven, test the ACs, the fridge.

OH and check the windows and doors... make sure there are SCREENS, and no holes or major wear around the trim

ok.. thats all i can think of. Good Luck tonight!!! call me!!!!!

def test the appliances - we didn't and after we moved in we found out the dishwasher didn't work. it just wasn't hooked up properly, we found out later.

Sorry, if it is off topic, but you should absolutely have a professional inspector, hired by you, available fairly cheap through 1800-US inspect (no finl interest for me)
to walk through. They know what to look for that you don't.
