Help Me With My Favor Disaster!!

If you read my earlier post about my mug fiasco...it gets worse! So, I ordered organza 6x10 bags to put my mugs in. I planned on putting them in the bags, placing cookies in the mug, and tightening the bag drawstring and attaching my favor tag to it. Well, I got the bags today in the mail and the mug does not fit in the bag!! It is too small!

I need ideas of what to wrap these mugs with, ladies!! And I am getting married this Friday!! I need something easy and not expensive...

IDEAS PLEASE! HELP!!

how about putting the cookies in the organza bags and then putting them INSIDE the mugs...so the mugs won't be wrapped but i think it'll look nice That's what i'd do!!

Where can I get that stuff? Craft store like Michaels? I am so DIY challenged!!

or tulle. Use it like cellophane. You can get it at michaels for pretty cheap

Thanks Kath. I did think about doing that...I just worry about out drunkin guests dropping the mugs and I don't think that it would look are elegant as having them in something!! I cannot wait till this wedding is over!!

I'd hit Michaels and see then...the tulle idea sounds great!!! Sorry this is happening!!!! I was a raging lunatic the last few days before my wedding...so i know how ya feel!!! Hang in there girl...you will wake up on Friday happy as can be...i promise!!!

k, I just saw this post now after I gave you links on my post! oops! well I'm really liking the tulle idea! although the organza bags if you get them in another size would still be awesome b/c you can just drop 'em in there and close the drawstring!

how big are the mugs? I'm curious what size organza bag would fit them. I have about 50 gold sheer wine bottle sized bags that I didn't use for the slipper baskets, they're yours if you want them!

Tulle.....Buy that white wedding tulle wrap the mug in it and tie with a pretty ribbon in your wedding colors or just white.

Thanks for all of the ideas girls! I may use the organza bags inside the mugs as a last resort! Any other ideas? I am thinking that cutting tulle will take a loooong time...

I think that is an excellent Idea.....save yourself time, money and of course frustration!!!!

Don't worry about the drunk people- They have the handle to hold the mugs with...

I think this is a great idea!

I know Tara wrapped big mugs for her favors..... (GettinHutched). I think that she used the big thing of tulle and cut them. That is what I would suggest doing if you don't just wrap the cookies and put them inside the mugs. Michael's or JoAnn fabric would have the big things of tulle.
