Help me with the WOTY!!

Hi Girls!
So I've been working with our officiant for the WOTY- April at the Church of Ancient Ways (BTW-what an AMAZING person!)
And she is helping to customize our ceremony.

And I got to wondering... what to YOU is the most important part of the ceremony?
What aspects would you like to see in our ceremony, that you normally don't get to see?

DH and I had a full blown traditional Catholic Mass and we want our renewal to be special and different... no only for us, but FOR YOU GUYS TOO!!! So any ideas of what you'd like to hear and see are much appreciated!

Looking forward to seeing you all on our special day! Especially at the church, since it's going to be REALLY special!!!

Well, I would have to say, personalized vows.

Not sure if the Catholic church allows it (which is where we'll be getting married) and I just want that so much, but don't think we'll get it.

I am trying to personalize our wedding any way we can, so of the things I am probably not going to 'get' for our ceremony, that I'd like to see, is personalized wedding vows!

Ive always wanted to have some sort of audience involvement...like a prayer or blessing said by everyone on my fh and I

i dont even know where ive gotten that idea but it shows that everyone in there supports us ...Lutheran churches might not be inclined to add something like that though- will talk to our pastor closer to the wedding

The only thing Im hoping for is to be able to hear what your saying as well as the officiant since I always seem to have a hard time following at other weddings because it always seems everyone at the altar is whispering.

Ooo, yeah! I'd like that too. Too many times you hear nothing or just the person presiding over the ceremony.

Hey Cheryl! I can not wait to see you guys at the WOTY. I am sure whatever you decide to do will be wonderful & meaningful.
CherylBooch is the reason I joined the website & as you can see...I work in a school & some how manage to sneak on throughout the day when I get a minute!

By the way...I need directions to the chapel.

We are definitely working with April to write our own sort of vows, and incorporate a different type of symbolic ceremony besides the unity candle.
BUT
I really like the idea of the audience involvent.
AND
one of my BIGGEST pet peeves is not being able to hear! At our church ceremony we made SURE that we were loud and clear, and so many of our guests compliemented us on it!
