I vote for Rolaton. I've heard great things about it...and it's not as popular...which will make it more unique!

I attended a wedding at Flowerfield and it was gorgeous. My only issues were...(and yes they may be petty but as a wedding guest I noticed them)...Ceremony was to start at 11:30am per the invite, so they were serving Mimosas and Bloody Mary's for those who arrived early...well the ceremony didn't start until Noon, so by mid cocktail hour people were very tipsy. It wasn't Flowerfields fault. It was the B & G for putting there ceremony time a half hour earlier than they needed to. And the bartenders didn't know how to make certain drinks...i.e. a proper bloody mary, or during the reception a half way decent Cosmo. I had to give the bartender my Cosmo recipe.
The food was AMAZING!!!! And the servers are so knowledgeable of the food, while our server was explaining the entrees...I could actually taste them. And to top it off...they tasted even better than they sounded. Plus they offered a wine that complemented the food.
Also, the grounds are simply gorgeous!

It's a wedding let them be tipsy... and BTW all the better catering halls the invite will call for 1/2 hour before the ceremony and they will usually serve light drinks and food. This way everyone gets a chance to be there, they are not rushing you out like in the wedding mills that you have to start your ceremony exactly at a certain whether or not your guests arrive. The only wedding I have ever been to that called for 5 and the ceremony started exactly at 5 was Jerricho terrace and they were rushing each bride around to take pics one after the other...the music from the next party boomed into the room while my friends ceremony was going on...I felt really bad for her...I know she tried to keep costs down but I think that place was pretty bad.

oh I didnt think the woodmere club lobby looked old ..I thought it was actually similiar to the old charm that the royalton had...I am just torn. I think Flowerfields is too far out on the island for me. So it is between the other 2. Did you think the royalton room was small? Are you getting married outside? I love the wood floor also. Any info would help.

at the royalton...how was it...do u have any pics to share...

I wasn't engaged at the time so I didn't take any pics.... it was a co-worker of FH and I didn't really know anyone so I didn't even bring a camera. Had NO idea I'd be engaged soon after

I'll see if I can ask FH to ask the guy for pics lol. If I can get them I'll post them :)

My cuz went to a wedding at the Royalton recently with close to 200 people and she said there was plenty of room. I am expecting about the same amount. For what it is worth, they tell you that they can easily fit 220 with room to move around.

I am planning on getting married outside in the garden area.

I saw the room set for 235 and it was ok...
there was still def room for 1 or 2 more tables...
im going to have about 175 and i have no worries...you can also arrange the tables to have 10-11 on 1 side and the same on the other or less whatever you like...
