help montauk yacht club

has anyone been to montauk yacht club for a wedding? if yes please give me info.

We almost booked there....

but there were some shady things going on.

Basically, they wanted us to sign a contract in 2006 for our 2008 wedding WITHOUT letting us know how much it was going to be per head (?!). They said that they could tell us what it costs for 2007, but that number could go up a sizeable percentage by 2008 and we'd be forced to pay that increased amount. They also hinted at a major management switch. The banquet manager - who isn't there now - kind of made it seem like we SHOULDNT get married there. It was strange. Later we went on a sunset cruise around Montauk and the driver of the ship was telling us that it's undergone a lot of management changes and has a poor reputation with the locals.

I saw a review on here later that gave it a BADDDDDD rating too.

Don't get me wrong.
It's beautiful.
I loved it there.

But just make sure you get all of the information (price, management info, etc) before you sign anything.

I was there for a wedding Sept 29, 2007 ~ It was a GREAT time ~ Beautiful scenery ~ Food and drinks were yummy ~ Had a GREAT time!

Hi! I got married there and strongly suggest you look somewhere else. I had a beautiful day, but there were many many shortcomings that could have ruined my day if I let it. Wood2be also had her wedding there which was a disaster (do a search for her). You can read my review through the link in my profile.
