Help! Must Play/Do Not Play

Can you ladies help me with my must play and do not play lists? What are on yours? Please share if you did yours already. For some reason I'm REALLY struggling with this!

do not play: i said no line dances or organized dancing and no hard house music

i have confidence that my dj will not play any cheesy songs lol

MUST play: its really your preference

I am giving him a select few of my fave songs

some spanish songs they must play- fh is cuban and i really want some spanish songs that I know- i know this is no help to you lol

and I really want 50s music played during dinner

that's really it

go through your ipod and write down the few songs that you love love love and that you NEED to dance to at your wedding that's what i did...and whenever i hear a song on the radio that i love i write it down

Our band gave us a list of songs they frequently play and asked us to send them feedback on anything we don't like, or anything we want to add. However, they said to keep in mind that even if there are songs we don't like, our guests may enjoy them. They also do a lot of medleys, so if we start crossing off too many songs, it would affect their ability to play those and keep the crowd entertained. So ultimately, we just decided we would leave it alone for the most part, but just take the songs off that really make us cringe.

If it helps, out of the list of about 300 songs they gave us, these are the ones we crossed off:
I Will Survive
Living la Vida Loca (Ricky Martin)
You're Beautiful (James Blunt)
Anything by Lady Gaga
I Gotta Feeling (BEP)
Single Ladies (Beyonce)

i would stay away from long detailed must play lists

you want the DJ to read the crowd...and they know what they are doing, you hired them for a reason

I actually did not plan on giving a long must play list and figured the DJ would feel out the crowd...but i went to a wedding and the DJ was wayyyy off. He would have everyone get up for a song, but he would kill it with the next song so people would leave the dance floor. So now i am considering being more detailed and giving a list that i know our friends will dance to.

On our must play is Journey - dont stop believing

LOL ohh goodness - no, that's our DO NOT play list!!

But hey, for those who enjoy a good Pokey (lol) - to each their own lol.

With our DJ, i am creating his playlist. He is to ONLY play songs from that list. He is not to go off the list or take any requests.

My FH wants him just to show up and play what he is told to play and thats it. So you can do that too.
