when the lights start flickering...RUN!!!
Whenever FI is doing any type of repairs around the apartment I go out. I hear drill noises, yelling, cursing and things banging I get very jumpy and nervous. So I just go out.

FH is 'rebuilding' his desk because he got a new computer and it doesn't fit So I am staying out of the way
Its not bad until the cursing begins!!! at least that was how it was like with my dad...DH stays pretty calm...

yea, cursing was always a bad sign in our house too. My father was usually able to keep to shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh but when he actually got sh*t out watch out. Next came the cigarette, then disaster.

OMG..... luckily my FH is a mechanic, and he used to be a contractor, so he is good with his hands but I still stay outta his way when he is working on a 'project'

Joe is good with his hands too...he's a tile mechanic (ceramic, marble, granite..) I don't think dishwashers are in there though... I've already been called away from the computer several times..and yes the cursing has begun.... he's already run back to Home depot before they closed!!! edited b/c I don't think I bought cascade yet!!!!! DUH!!!!!

I feel your pain...last night Dh and I rearranged our office, put many things away in the attic and hung some things on the office walls. There were some not so happy smiley moments there! How did the dishwasher project turn out?

The other day FH called me and said, 'Can you put regular dishwashing soap (like Joy or Dawn) into the dishwasher?' I was like NO!!! He says 'well Shawn asked me and I said 'I dont know, I guess it should be OK'. Well, Shawn did it, and they had a 'foot of snow' in thier kitchen!! I started to laugh so hard I was crying! That is what happens when 2 guys live together!!!
