So I have been so good with being confident in my vendor choices throughtout this wedding process. Well yesterday I saw a post on here about pennylane productions and I fell in love..like overly obsessed love. I havent stopped thinking about this all day. I currently booked my videographer with my photographer company simply because of convenience but now I think I might want to switch. The problem is…pennylane is double the price of my current video! I havent proposed this idea to FH yet. All day I have been working out the figures to see if its feasable. Im thinking I might be able to negotiate as well. I have to wait til Monday to speak with a manager at my photog company to see what their procedure would be IF I even wanted to delete video from my contract. Im thinking they might keep my deposit.
Am I crazy for even entertaining this idea? Have any of you gone through anything like this with a vendor choice?

Don't!! haha!! Just bring him to Pennylane and let him decide once he sees the videos --- oh and dont tell him about the 2/3 either!! Let that be your last ditch resort!! haha!!

i wanted pennylane but i wanted the biggest package and it was 5k and up i hope you get to work with them pennylane is great i wont book them until they do a recession price lol

is there anyway that the money you girls put down on your video packages be put towards your photo, of course this only works if both are at the same place...

that would be pretty cool..i guess i have to see how my photog would go about the situation. worse case scenario i think our deposit was $500 for photo and $500 for video so maybe they would just keep the $500 deposit for video...which would really stink but we'll see what happens

I couldn't afford the huge package from pennylane either-- and I thought I would be dissapointed-- TOTALLY not!!
I had the full 3 cameras at the church only -everyhwere else was two and IMO nothing is missing!
I was afraid it would be a big mistake and asked DH right before the wedding if we could switch (after adding the same day trailer, the highlight, getting ready phootage and web stream he wasn't buying it...haha!)
I don't regret it at all!
AND-- this morning I got an email from Adam and just thought I'd share with you ladies--- this is what he sent to me so that I can share with family and friends that don't live close enough to see the video!!! It is so awesome to be able to send this to my family that came so far for the wedding- but might not ever get a chance to see the video!! Take a look:
