Help my friend please...
Can anyone recommend some places in NYC to have a wedding for under 100 people? She already tried Tribeca Roof (???) but the price was way over her budget. She wants something really groovy. Any suggestions?

Hmmm.... I think anywhere in NYC is going to be high.
I think the Metropolitan in Glen Cove is 'groovy' Different type of atmosphere than the other catering facilities.

In Manhattan only. I'm not really sure how much of a budget she has but I remember her saying that about 130 pp is her max. She's still not sure if she's getting help from her family. I already recommended the place in Tribeca but they wanted about 180pp before taxes and gratuity.

I think Manhattan Penthouse or Studio 450 (Sun West??) would be good places for her to check out.

Have her call Vicki at www.igmc.net - she helped me find a place within my budget. They only have NYC venues and most of them are unadvertised. They have quite a few unusual choices too like funky restaruants and old clubs.

She is not from NY, moved from Texas about a year ago and is not familiar with NYC venues or NYC weddings.
