Can anyone recommend a nice hotel we can stay at on our wedding night? I have looked at a few places and nothing has really been what I was looking for. We are not taking a honeymoon right away because I have to go back to work, so we wanted something really special for our big night. I'd appreciate any suggestions!

Re: Help! Need hotel for wedding night
We are staying in the Bridal Suite at the Fox Hollow Inn this Sunday!
I will post a full review when I get back but my friend who got married on Labor Day said it was beautiful there- champagne and strawberries, rose petals and a complimentary breakfest the next morning!

The Plaza Hotel in the city it is a little expensive but so worth it ( it is the hotel from the home alone movie) Over looking central park, i dont remember the proce but I stayed there the night of my engaement but it was 12/23/02 so it might have been high because of the month. Also the Grden City hotel expensive but beautiful choclate covered strawberries champagne the whole nine. Good luck

I'm planning on staying at the Plaza too (hopefully I'll have some money in my budget left at that point ). However, if you plan on staying in LI, I've seen a lot of positive reviews for the Garden city hotel.

Re: Help! Need hotel for wedding night
I am staying in the Inn at East Wind. The rooms are all brand new and they have a new spa and a resturant and a bar so that my guests and I can hang out in the bar after the reception.

Re: Help! Need hotel for wedding night
I stayed at the Garden City Hotel on my wedding night too, which was great, but make sure you call to check on your reservation ahead of time. When my dh and I checked into the hotel around 1:30 am, they gave us a room with double beds, even though we had written confirmation of a reservation with a king size bed ! I can laugh about it now, and we were able to get it resolved quickly, but just be on the safe side and call before you check in.

Thanks I'll make sure I do. I don't wanna be moving the beds together that night!

Re: Help! Need hotel for wedding night
We stayed at the Plaza in the city. DH did some research and said that it wasn't much more expensive than a suite at Fox Hollow, maybe $30 or $40 more. We made the reservations over the Internet and I think that's why we got a deal.

The wedding pleasures package at Garden City Hotel is nice. They provide champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, rose petal display, etc.
