I'm having my eparty June 18th and we are working on a menu. We are doing buffet style at a local hall (like a Knights of Columbus). Theme is 'tropical island/some what hawawian theme'. What other foods that are in that category should we have?
So far we are doing: - ham - rice - pinapples holding cut up fruit - honey dipped chicken wings - sandcastle shaped cake - tropical fruit punch non-alchoholic - a hard lemonade recipe for signature drink - ices - exotic salad - steamed veggies - grilled potatoes
Any suggestions?

If it's a Hawiann theme you I would do a pou-pou platter. I also don't know if you have any vegetarians that are attending, but you might think about a veggie dish (you could do a thai fried rice or something).

We're having it at a hall, that's why we opted for ham. It's about a close as we can get :)

i was thinking pig roast too! O well ham will work! you have to have those little umbrellas in the drinks!!! lol They have a ton of hawian theme favors, glasses etc at oriental trading company
