Help needed

Ok ladies I need your help, my wedding ceremony starts @3:30pm and I have 8BMs, myself, 2 moms,3 FGs and my MOH that needs to have they hair/makeuo done before 2:30pm. So what should I do, Have them do the hair the day before (which I think is a bad idea) or wake everyone up that morning( I was thinking about 6:00am to get a head start), but now who am I going to get to open there shop that early or even come out to the hotel.

I dont know what to do?

To make matters worst I have not pick a makeup artist or a hair person yet.I had 2 trails so far and nothing excites me yet. Im so lost in time, I have just about 3months left and some much 2 do.

If any past or present brides are close to time like I am, Please tell me how/will you do it.

If you all go to the same salon, but use different people, it really shouldn't take the entire day to get hair done...

Re: Help needed

best thing to do is have them split up into groups and go to salons on their own, maybe 3/4 girls in each group so that you don't have people in 10 different places.

like kara said above, it should definitely not take all day to get their hair and makeup done. my ceremony was at noon and though i didn't have as many women as you, the girls (4 of them) were at the salon at 730am and made it to me around 1045 all dressed with hair and makeup done and ready to go. my mom, 2 aunts, and me were done at my house.

so, in a sense, we also were split into groups and it worked out well.

ALOT of make up artists will come to you that early in the morning...many girls who did reviews mentioned how their hair and make up person came at 6am and i saw even earlier...You're not gonna get a salon to open up.

IF everyone in your bp is getting hair and make up done, i would talk to the person you want to hire, let them know...see if they can handle it, if not ask them if they can bring someone else to assisit.

Its not a big deal, dont worry youll find someone...It is actually normal for them to show up that early in the morning, and many of these make up artists have done large bp's and know how to handle it, its their job

hth. also, if you and your girls start doing some of the prep stuff now, such as finding a place and making sure that the salon will do 3-4 girls (which i'm sure they will), you shouldn't have a problem b/c they will probably not have to open early since you want them ready by 2:30 vs my girls that had to be done by 1030am - that's a huge 4 hours difference.

the easiest way to do it is to find girls who have a regular salon and ask them to ask their salon if they are willing to do it. i'm sure you can walk into a random salon also, but if they know you're a regular customer, they might be more glad to do it.

Girl, no worries! I had almost that many people to get done and my wedding was at 10:30am. I had the hair and makeup girls come to my parents house at 5:45 and it worked out great. I had three girls working on hair simultaneously which definitely sped things along. I also liked that I didn't have to spend time travelling to and from a salon and that I could spend the morning getting ready with those closest to me.

I highly recommend the Rock sisters for hair and Jillian from Gorgeous Faces.

yeah thats the best thing...and if she needs girls ready by 2:30pm, then the make up and hair people dont have to get there at 6:00am, it wont take them 8 hours to do it...maybe tell them to come like 10am or just a lil bit earlier

Re: Help needed

i just didn't have the money to pay for my girls hair and makeup - might sound like taboo on liw - but that was the reality. so they were happy to go to a salon. i got my hair and makeup done at home.

Some girls still pay for their own hair and make up but they pay the vendor that the bride hired to do their make up.

I have heard that there are some hair stylist that are willing to come to your home and take care of the whole bridal party. For my make up I am having my Mary Kay consultant take care of me. But for my hair I am seriously think I having someone come over to my house to do my hair. It is a good idea for me to think about this now.
I hope that I helped you a little.

Exactly! I didn't pay for my girls hair and makeup. I arranged for hair and makeup girls to come to my house and gave my girls the option of using them or finding a salon or doing it on their own. All of them opted to come to the house and use who I set up. It was easiest (and cheapest in the long run) for them.

personally-- I would say to save you a lot of stress, and give you a little more sleep time-- tell everyone to go about it on their own... I had the same amount in my BP... and I said everyone was on their own--- which left me to deal with myself and my mom-- i had my hair done at 9 and makeup done at 11 and photographers arrived at 12pm

I invited the girls to book at the same salon as myself... in case they wanted to-- but it was just as easy to have them fend for themsleves-- they felt less rushed and pressured too...

How many girls were in your bp? I am curious what the max amount of girls a make up artist and hair dresser would do...I have alot of girls, dont know if all of them want make up done though or if they want to go to someone else

You're not gonna get a salon to open up.

Not necessarily true. MANY salons will open early for a bridal party - especially if you have 8 people or something like that.
