Help, not sure what to put with my wedding dress!!!
Hi, my wedding is in the winter so i think i may need some kind of bolero to go with my dress. However when i tried the dress on with a bolero and a veil i felt like it was a bit much!! If any of you brides out there have photos of you with either a bolero and or a veil can you please please post them!!! Ill post a pic of my dress so you get the idea!!

What about just having a shoulder wrap made in the same fabric as your dress?
I agree that a bolero might not look the best with your dress because of the asymmetrical drape detail in your dress

Thanks for your replies!! I think i may just have to grin and bear the cold!! hopefully ill be so excited i wont feel it!. Might just get a nice veil with it maybe a short one. yeah really like the dress, it was the first one i tried on!

What about if you just wear a thick satin shawl or something. I think your dress is absolutely gorgeous and the bodice work shouldn't be covered.

First, wow - what a gorgeous dress!
I agree that a bolero wouldn't really work. I would consider wearing the dress as is indoors and getting a faux fur wrap for outside. A few brides on here have done that for their winter weddings and it looked beautiful!

you would need a simple - very simple one layer veil to work with a balero. I ordered one with my dress and refuse to buy a veil until i see it with all types of veils. It may not even work out and i may not wear the jacket for the ceremony and just wear the veil or loose the veil completely.
for outdoors you can find a fur wrap/stole that would look nice but try to find one used since you only wear it for like 20 mins.

You will want something, you're going to freeze, otherwise. How about a cape? I've seen short fur capes, and I've seen longer, lined velvet capes that are just gorgeous. Think of it this way, lots of women have wanted the romance of wearing a cape, but when does a modern woman get to wear one and not look a bit silly and overdone? But you could wear one with your wedding dress! And you could have some really wonderful wedding pictures taken of you in the cape, and then in your dress. Two separate looks. I Googled 'wedding fur cape' and 'wedding velvet cape' and got a bunch of hits, including a really pretty short one with fur edging, and a pretty beaded one:

I love your dress. I have a winter wedding too and Im trying to figure out what Im going to do. Our dresses are kinda similar with the flower!

Songstress, can you post a pic of your dress?? What kind of colours are you going for? Mine is quite close to chrismas so im going for purple and silver (christmassy without being too christmassy if you know what i mean!!!)
