Help. Now what?

Help. Now what?

I would go dress shopping. Some designers take longer than others to come in. I still don't understand why a wedding dress takes so long to order & receive but that's how it works. Also, it's never too early to start on the guestlist. But I think you have the major things booked so yes, definitely take some break time. As much as planning a wedding is an exciting and happy time, you don't want to get 'wedding burn out' where you feel like you are living and breathing wedding stuff all the time. There's that time crunch at towards the end that provides enough of that. Enjoy! Which reception hall did you book?

Use a check (or credit card)...it's your only proof of payment. Think of it as a reciept...God forbid you need to take legal action in the future, but cash can get 'lost'. Who cares what he 'prefers'...you have to do what's good for you!!! ...as with all vendors, not just your DJ.

Well you are ahead of me by one dress. I am also getting married next September. I am just starting to think about 'The Dress'.

Oh, I forgot. I have my dress too. Or at least I have begun. It is being made so I just have to wait for the many (4!) fittings. I have a preliminary guest list too. So you think I am done for now? I am booked at Flowerfield in St. James.

I am just starting to think about 'The Dress'. Also favors, invitation styles and flowers.

Did you book a videographer?

Congratulations!!! I would start the planning right away. First get the hall and then you can work on the photographer and music.
This board is great, don't let today's posts make you nervous. Everyone is VERY nice and VERY helpful.

Our reception will be at Watermill in Smithtown on Sept. 14th. I think I am going to start looking next weekend for The Dress.
Whats your date?

From the last post that Lauren made, it sure does seem obvious that her photographer did not fulfill his responsibilities.

Melanie, it was directed toward you, but no harm. Do you mind sharing who you have chosen?

Most people who don't partake still understand that there will be situations where other do. Maybe for the non-drinking friends you can make sure that their tables have glasses of sparking cider instead of champagne for the toast and don't worry about the rest. I agree with Sharon. I'm sure it will be fine.

Hi Mark!!!
