help...off white dress

I found a dress that I like and I'm going to see it again this weekend. The store sample is an off-white-but not ivory....it's like white with a very slight hint of blush pink. The color is very pretty and looks good with my complexion and hair color...but I'm worried about finding a veil, shoes ect to match-like I'll look off next to everything else that's white. Any opinions or is anyone else wearing something besides white or ivory?

You can have shoes dyed to match, and I'm sure if you ask a tailor or shoe dyer you can either find tulle that matches or get white tulle dyed as well. Ask the store what other brides who purchased that color dress did. Good luck!

help...off white dress

My dress color is called diamond white, it is not a true white and not ivory. The dress also came in white. To me it looks white. I also had the same concern about everything else matching, but I got a big swatch of the fabric from the salon and I will take it with me when I get my shoes and flowergirl dress. The veil I plan to get at the same place I got my dress, so there shouldn't be a problem matching it up. I'm sure you won't have a problem matching everything. Good Luck!

help...off white dress

A lot of dresses only come in diamond white (slightly off white) because silk-satin does not come in 'bright-white'. My gown was diamond white and in pictures and even in person you would never know it unless you put something 'bright white' next to it. Also, veils can be ordered in diamond white & I had my shoes died the same color (shoe stores are used to doing that). I personally liked the off whitish gowns better than the white ones when i tried them on - I liked the antique look to them. I think pinkish is beautiful also!

Thanks for the good advice

The dress color is actually called vanilla-you can only tell its offwite/pinkish if you stare at it.. I'll ask them at the salon tommorow about the matching veil and shoes thanks everyone!
