Hello! Planning my NYC wedding for July 2004 and looking for a great DJ... no corny line dancing... just good music and professional demeanor. Ideally would like DJ who has a good selection of current music (hip hop, r&b, reggae) old school soul and funk (ie James Brown and Ray Charles) and necessary classics (Etta James etc)... Any suggestions!

Re: Help on DJ
I don't know where you live but you can try Dash of Class.. they are in Brooklyn. Here's their website:
Music by Michael fits your description. He's a vendor on this site. Good luck!

Re: Help on DJ
Spin Around Sound's website specifically says 'no cheese' -- seems like a good sign!

Re: Help on DJ
I definately agree with using Vinny and High Voltage Sound!! He played EVERYTHING at our wedding, we had a HUGE variety of ages (8 months old to 92) and wanted to please everyone inbetween! Vinny definately pulled that one off!!
