Help on Venues...

FH and I have been to two venues so far... Chateau Le Mer, and Crestwood Manor. We aren't really feeling any of the two. We are planning to visit Coral House tomorrow. A few other places we plan on visiting are, Beach Club Estate, Cresthollow, and Riviera. If you guys have any valuable information about these venues please let know! Thanks!

The only one I saw was Chateu la Mer and I wasn't thrilled with it either. Good luck though!

Venetian Yacht Club is similar to Chateu la Mer they have the same view and are about 10 min away from each other. If you want to know why we picked one vs the other you can FM me. I have March prices for both also. Crestwood Manor is also Venetian sister hall (thats how they put it) Good Luck on your search!

All the places you mentioned are so different.

Beach Club Estate is on Lake Ronkonkoma, I don't believe it's super fancy.

Chateau La Mer was recently renovated and looks nice but there are several weddings and parties going on at a time and their view is overlooking the parking lot rather than the bay.

Crest Hollow throws a great party, food is good. They also have several parties at once. Floors are marble, with fancy (but a little dated) chandeliers. They are more of a traditional 'hall' and the price is very reasonable.

The Riviera is a unique place because inside is all wood (very rustic). It's also right on the bay which makes for a great view. The prices are reasonable.

Crestwood, I've never been to but looks very small and 'home' like from the website.

Coral House is not bad, It just reminds me of the 80's when it was more popular.

How big is your guestlist?

Try Lombardis on the Bay. It's not huge but it's very reasonably priced (like $70pp)

Venetian Yacht Club, it's got a much better view of the bay and RM bridge than Chateau La Mer.

Cresent Beach Club in Bayville is very nice, a little costly, but very elegant for a 'beach' type wedding.

Bridgeview Yacht Club in Island Park has great prices and their room is very elegant. It's not on the open bay but it is on the water.

Thank you so much! That was vey helpful! I'm trying to keep my options open, I don't want to stick to just one type of place and miss out on something I might really like.

The only place out of those I have been to is Coral House. Linda was very nice. The cocktail hour and Nantucket rooms were nice. Also the lake view was pretty. The best part is the prices are GREAT and it included your centerpieces. I went for a food tasting.. was good but nothing amazing. I wasnt a fan of the bathrooms.

Re: Help on Venues...

checked out all the places you mentioned. I ended up falling in love with Jericho Terrace and I have to say the prices are reasonable and they give you a S**t load of food at the CH and Reception. I couldn't say no. And there isn't any ugly place inside for pics or outside. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!

I went to see Crescent Beach Club yesterday. I didn't really like but I'm not necessarily looking for beach theme...I wanted more elegance than they provide...but it is a nice spot if your heart is set on getting married on the beach. It's more informal then the others places mentioned previously.

Bridgeview Yacht Club has the unfortunate case of having probably the worst location ever! It's insides are gorgeous but it located kind of off the beaten path on the Barnum Island Wharf and if you are doing a weekend night wedding prepare for a ton of teens hanging out in the street and a ton of cops waiting to arrest someone. There are about 5 or 6 bars in that little area and it's all late teens early twenty somethings hanging out, hopping from bar to bar. Not something I would want to see as I am exiting or entering a wedding.

Crestwood Manor looks so pretty online but I hear it's small...too small for the amount of people I am having so I did not go see it.

I love Crest Hollow, but it's too many weddings at a time for what my preferences are.

Good luck with whatever you choose!
